LANG HOTEL Ueno#801

I travelled to Tokyo with my mum. We stayed in Lang Ueno because of how big the room was and proximity to the train station. There were limited amenities in the room (coffee, tea and milk is available from the reception and toothbrushes and slippers were provided in the room). In the apartment there was a fridge, washing machine and microwave in addition to the stove and kettle. The TV is Google TV enabled and I was able to log into my account. As everyone had mentioned you need to take care when getting on and off the chairs and they roll forward. The beds were comfortable with loads of pillows and cushions provided. There are power points near the side table in the bed head. Unfortunately there is nowhere convenient to unpack so we moved a dining chair to hold our suitcases off the ground. This room was on the top floor and it was the only room on this level. There wasn't much of a view but it was quiet.

I had a fantastic stay at Lang Hotel Ueno and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tokyo. The location is excellent—Ueno is a vibrant area with great transport links, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. There are plenty of restaurants, shops, and attractions nearby, so you’re never short of things to do. What really stood out, though, was the hotel itself and its amazing staff. From check-in to check-out, the team were welcoming, attentive, and always willing to help with anything I needed. The hotel is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing a perfect base after a long day of sightseeing. I actually stayed here twice during my trip—once for the first three nights and again for the final three nights—and both experiences were consistently excellent. It was the perfect way to start and end my journey in Tokyo.

Fairly easy walking distance to Ueno Park and things in Asakusa. If you plan to spend a lot of time in other parts of the city- it can be 30-60min commute by train. It was really nice to have more space than a hotel room and we’re glad we stayed there for that reason.
